Over the last 30 years, Vanner has developed and patented technology relating to DC to AC inverters, DC to DC Conversion, Battery Equalization and System management. Vanner has the technology to offer an integrated balanced AC system with multiple DC voltages and with an overall power management system. Vanner has the capability to electrify the belt driven loads from a vehicle’s engine. This will greatly improve the efficiency of the engine and reduce emissions.
Even though Vanner has had this technology for many years, the power generation systems on conventional vehicles haven’t been sufficient to achieve the goal of eliminating the belt driven loads. With the increasing acceptance of hybrid technology, the new hybrid drives provides all the power necessary to achieve this goal. Vanner is working on several hybrid projects that will take us down this path. Moreover, the technology developed for hybrids will help with the commercialization of the fuel cell.
Vanner will also be working on the next generation of the alternator-based inverter by adding more power at idle and also offering an option for having AC power when the vehicle isn’t running. Vanner will also be working on standalone battery monitors that will allow our patented virtual cell technology to be used on vehicles that don’t use a battery equalizer.
Partnering with OEMs to develop balanced, integrated, engineered, systems solutions will be the corner stone of Vanner future developments. We will continue to help our partners develop systems for their conventional technology, as well as, systems for their emerging and disruptive technology.
