National Fleet Sales Manager

Vanner Inc, Hilliard, OH, a fast growing market leader in vehicle electrification is seeking a strong candidate to fill the important role of National Fleet Sales Manager, responsible for all sales and marketing activity for the commercial work truck market.

The NFSM will support existing Distributors, OEM Ship-thru Upfitters, Truck Body and Equipment Manufacturers, and Leasing / Fleet Management Companies to maintain and grow Vanner’s current fleet client base.

The NFSM will execute the current strategic plans for national fleet market growth and consult with the Vice President of Truck and Military Sales for development and implementation of future growth strategies and actions.

National Fleet Sales Manager Duties:

• Lead and support all national fleet sales activity.
• Schedule and manage individual and joint sales meetings with fleets.
• Conduct sales training seminars and webinars.
• Manage and participate in trade shows and industry organization meetings.
• Follow up on leads from trade shows and other sources.
• Pro-active individual research to identify potential new prospects.
• Conducts needs analysis (Discovery) and determine prospect’s immediate and future needs.
• Overcome competitive sales objections and position products to satisfy prospect’s needs.
• Identify fleet decision makers and budget owners. Identify project timelines and available budgets and communicate internally for forecasting and strategic planning.

National Fleet Sales Manager Requirements:

• 60%+ Travel. Ability to schedule and organize business travel to accomplish goals and balance personal needs.
• Strong team player. Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Strong industry-wide relationships and personal network of contacts
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong personality, self-starter, creative problem solver, can-do attitude.
• High energy level and the ability to manage multiple tasks willingly.
• Excellent listening and customer service skills and demeanor. The ability to adapt communication style to a wide selection of prospects.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed personal activity and company sales goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills. Able to lead multi-departmental team members to accomplish common goals.
• A 4-Year degree in business or a related field and/or 10 years experience in the automotive or truck market are required. Leasing / Fleet Management experience is highly favored.
